I just started an online public photo archive- American Holocaust Memorials on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/groups/americanholocaustmemorials/.
The archive will serve as a research and educational tool for those interested in commemorative culture.
So far I’ve posted images I’ve taken of Elbert Weinberg’s 1979 Holocaust Memorial located in downtown Wilmington, Delaware. The archive is an ongoing project. In the near future I’ll also upload images of Philadelphia’s memorial sculpture and the New England Holocaust Memorial in Boston.
I hope the group will continue to grow. It would be great to get images of memorials located in various cities. If you’d like to join the Flickr group to contribute your photos to the archive, please go to http://www.flickr.com/groups/americanholocaustmemorials/.
Also, a few months ago I established a photo archive of American Lynching Memorials. Likewise, I will continue to add to this archive as I encounter new memorials. And, I welcome folks to contribute to this collection as well. You can check that out at http://www.flickr.com/groups/lynching_memorials/.

Great pictures, thank you so much for posting these. Elbert Weinberg was my grandfather’s cousin, so it’s even more powerful to me to see these pictures. I have not been able to see them in person yet. Thanks again!

Cool! I’m so glad that the pictures have helped you to get a sense of Weinberg’s work. It’s really quite a powerful monument. I hope you have a chance to see it in person one day.
